Broadside printed on light gray paper, approximately 7 5/8" x 9 5/8". Crease marks from folding but otherwise fully intact. As an immigrant from Scotland, Peter Duff established one of the first business colleges in the United States. By 1851, he had obtained a perpetual charter from the Pennsylvania legislature for "Duff's Mercantile College" to teach accounting and bookkeeping. By the elate 1850's, Duff had colleges in 5 locations. Notable alumni included Henry J. Heinz, founder of H.J. Heinz Company. This broadside, promoting enrollment in all Duff's schools, confirms that "Certificates of Scholarship paid for in any of these establishments are good in all the others."
