In this home health guide for the lay person, Bourne argued that "copius sweating" is the "foundation of my system of treatment, which I term the Thermal-Sudatory System." He then devotes nearly 500 pages to describing the application of his system to a variety of ailments and diseases. This particular copy, which was printed and bound by E. Bosqui & Co. of San Francisco, is paricularly bright with little or no wear.
